快猫视频 founder Tom Warth is organizing a fundraiser to ship books to Zimbabwe!聽 Tom plans to hike聽Eagle Mountain, the highest elevation in Minnesota at 2,301 feet.聽 This will take place Sunday, May 26,聽2019聽 Participants聽will combine fundraising efforts, with a $12,000 goal to聽fully fund a 40 foot ocean container of books to be distributed to schools across Zimbabwe.

The late Kofi Annan, the former United Nations Secretary General and a son of Africa, once said: 鈥淟iteracy is quite simply the bridge from misery to hope.鈥 That sentiment is nowhere more important than among the youth of Africa, which has the youngest population in the world. Some 225 million Africans are between the ages of 15 and 24, a number that is expected to more than double in the next 40 years, according to the United Nations.

Mandela Washington Fellow, Wilfried Mbamba, handed over tablets to five medical students studying at the University of Namibia (UNAM)鈥檚 School of Medicine at the Hage Geingob Campus, last week.聽 Wilfried Mbamba is one of 700 young African leaders that recently visited the United States of America during this year鈥檚 Mandela Washington Fellowship program.
