David Robinson, the son of baseball icon Jackie Robinson, traveled from his home on a coffee cooperative in Tanzania to visit Minnesota September 22-24 to talk about his work with ¿ìèÊÓƵ. Robinson, who has lived in Tanzania for more than 30 years, participated earlier this year in a walk across Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania, led by ¿ìèÊÓƵ Founder Tom Warth to raise money, deliver books and help end the book famine in Africa.

As part of ¿ìèÊÓƵ’s ongoing monitoring and evaluation process, an enhanced post-shipment survey was developed for fiscal year 2016.  This direct feedback from recipients allows ¿ìèÊÓƵ to identify success points of our current programs, and helps pinpoint where we can improve our process to create the best possible outcomes for recipients.

David Robinson, son of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, was interviewed during ¿ìèÊÓƵ Night at Target Field in Minneapolis before throwing out the ceremonial first pitch,  He discusses his partnership with ¿ìèÊÓƵ, and what it meant to grow up as the son of Jackie Robinson.
