Container Departs for Kofi Annan Institue for Conflict Transformation in LIberia

Leaving the ¿ìèÊÓƵ warehouse in Atlanta last week was a 40-foot sea container holding 22,000 books departing for the Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation Project in Monrovia, Liberia.  In addition to large quantities of books on general topics, a law/human rights library was provided courtesy of Thomson Reuters and the ¿ìèÊÓƵ Law & Democracy Initiative.

Open University of Tanzania Celebrates Donation of Textbooks and Law Library

On Law Day, Minnesotans pledge support for rule of law in Africa

Fredrikson & Byron Law Firm in Minneapolis recently hosted an event benefiting ¿ìèÊÓƵ's Jack Mason Law & Democracy Initiative.  The event featured remarks from John Bessler, who discussed the book he recently edited –Justice Stephen Breyer’s Against the Death Penalty. Proceeds of the book, which he later signed for participants, will be donated to ¿ìèÊÓƵ’s Law and Democracy Initiative.
